Bob from Finance is an embedded finance assistant for startup founders. This page explains what data we collect through the app and its integrations (QuickBooks Online, Slack), and what we do with it.

What we collect

• Account information you provide directly: your email address, used to sign in.
• Accounting data from QuickBooks Online, once you connect it: transactions, profit & loss reports, and whether a receipt or invoice is attached to a transaction.
• Messages and files you send to Bob in Slack, once you connect a workspace — including invoices/receipts you upload in response to Bob's requests.
• Conversation history with Bob, in the app or in Slack, to keep answers consistent.

What we use it for

Solely to run the service: answering your financial questions, detecting expenses missing a receipt, matching the invoices you send back to the right transaction, and showing you your own numbers. We do not use your data to train AI models, and we do not sell it.

Who else sees it

Only the infrastructure we use to run the service, under their own privacy terms — Supabase (database and file storage), Anthropic (processes your questions to generate Bob's answers), Slack, and Intuit/QuickBooks. We don't share your data with anyone else.

How long we keep it

For as long as your account and integrations stay connected. Disconnecting QuickBooks or Slack stops new data from coming in; ask us to delete existing data at the contact below.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access to a company's data is restricted to that company's own users and TensorOps' internal team.
